A clean energy resource for the future has been the worldwide advocacy. With the increasing demand for energy, business and technology united to produce results on where we could utilize a source of energy that is cheap and environment friendly. This is where Green Energy Resources or sometimes called as Renewable energy resources come in. What is Green Energy Resources? What are the types of Renewable Energy Resources?
Green Energy Resources is a term that describes the alternative energy resources such as Wind, Sun, Water, Biomass and Geothermal energy sources. These renewable energy resources are free and abundant in nature. Unlike the non-renewable fuel energy, these resources would not diminish and would not be causes of wars in most countries (not to mention the very fast price hike and very expensive oil).
Types
Solar Energy. Solar energy comes from the sun. The sun’s heat could be converted into useful energy by using solar panels and related devices that captures, converts and stores the sun’s energy for different uses. Primarily solar energy is used for heating of homes, lighting, water heating, and other commercial uses.
Wind. Wind energy comes from the wind. Wind turbines collect wind energy. Later, it is converted into electricity and can supply electricity on many different locations and on a vast scale. Like solar energy, there are many uses that could be derived from wind energy. From homes to commercial uses, wind energy can be very useful.
Geothermal. Hot springs and Steams have been utilized to produce electricity. Geothermal plants collect geothermal energy from beneath the earth’s surface and convert them into useful electricity. Geothermal plants could supply an entire city with electricity. Only one percent of the world’s energy is utilized using geothermal energy.
Hydropower. Water is the most used source of energy among the renewable. It comprises fifteen percent of the world’s energy use. Hydroelectric power plants use dams or falls, and other natural bodies of water that has vast volume of water and fast water outflow. Hydroelectric energy is widely used for all types of electrical energy use and commercial use.
Biomass. Waste management programs produced one form of energy—biomass. This energy is formed by combustion of wood products and other produce of agriculture. They could also be converted to gas and could be used in cooking.
With the growing demand for energy and expensive price of non-renewable resources like fuel, the modern world is geared toward producing alternative energy using Green Energy resources. With it, the way of life would be simpler and the environment cleaner.
